C1870 English Pattern 'Meyers Brevet' Closed Frame, Double Action Pin Fire 6 Shot Revolver With Folding Trigger 


MEYERS Guillaume Joseph, was a manufacturer of weapons in Liege, Belgium. He deposited 7 patents between 1866 to 1879. This is an excellent 6 shot English Pattern pocket revolver in the sought after obsolete .320 CF Calibre marked by Meyers. It has closed frame and 3 1/2" barrel (8" overall). It has chequered grips which are undamaged. It has a captive steel ejector rod. The pistol is stamped with proof/ inspection marks. The pistol has a blued cylinder which retains much of it's original finish. The left side of the frame is marked by the manufacturer 'Meyers Brevete '. It has a post / blade foresight and fixed rear sight. It is side gate loading, has a folding trigger. As an obsolete calibre, antique weapon no licence is required to possess this item in the UK if retained as a part of a collection or display. The price for this attractive pistol is well below the market value due to the hammer being broken. Market value would be around £950, great piece for the serious collector.
